Happy-go-lucky

I'm following Hannah's lead, and so uh, here we go.

**

She's the girl with her head in the clouds, far, far up.

So high above everybody else,

looking down as scenes unfold, as everyday life happens before her very eyes

friends share secrets
                                   jokes

things that she used to want to share, once upon a time

High enough to hide her emotion, cold enough to freeze her thoughts

but not quite far enough to miss the pitied looks thrown her way, the hushed whispers and rigid stares that seemed to scream, "She sees things, she's crazy!"

All the while, they are the ones who don't know, who can't see the creatures that surely do exist.

So she hides her tears behind the purple lens of those spectre specs,

tippy-toes a little higher into the clouds,

and becomes who they want to see, the crazy happy-go-lucky girl with her head in the clouds.

  4. No, Grace's word was happy-go-lucky!

Really nice, Grace. A lot like the style of the Luna poem you showed me. :)
