SC: Them - Part II

I know it's been awhile since I've posted, but here is part II of my most recent SC series. I will write the third and final part soon, so keep checking!

"What the heck is that?" She practically shrieked.
MOM! IT'S NOTHING. SHEESH. Overreaction, much?
"Then take it off."
Um. About that...
"Yes...? Well what are you waiting for? OFF!" Now she was on the verge of becoming hysterical.
... I would, except... I can't.
"You think you can fool me? Don't be stupid."
Why would I lie about something like this?
"Fine. In that case, you can go up to your room and stay there until it comes off."
I headed up the stairs, silent. Let her think she'd won.
But if I didn't go to school for the rest of the year, she'd better not complain.
